The Department of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka has officially rolled out a major curriculum update. The long-followed 20 series syllabus has now been replaced with the new 25 series syllabus for diploma students across the state. This change is aimed at aligning the diploma education system with modern industry needs and higher education requirements.
New 25 Series Curriculum Introduced
Fresh structure and subject alignment.
Updated content across most diploma programs.
Mathematics Syllabus Revised
The mathematics subject has undergone major changes.
Some topics from the 20 series are removed, while new ones are added in the 25 series.
Students must carefully follow the correct syllabus based on their series.
Old Syllabus Still for Backlogs
Students who have backlogs/failed subjects in the 20 series will continue with the old 20 series syllabus until they clear those exams.
The new 25 series syllabus is applicable only for fresh batches.
✅ If you are newly admitted into diploma courses, you will study under the 25 series syllabus.
✅ If you are a continuing student with arrears/backlogs, you must write your exams in the 20 series syllabus.
✅ The Mathematics syllabus is different in both series, so carefully refer to the correct study material.
